The survey says Canadians are rallying around shared values, with standing up for ourselves (73%) and integrity (72%) now topping the list of what it means to be Canadian and putting their money where their values are.
The poll says as 42% have actively substituted a product they would have bought with a Canadian alternative (up from 34% three weeks ago).
The survey also says Canadians are now willing to pay 19% more on average to buy Canadian and 72% would drive further (vs. 64% three weeks ago), 77% would wait longer (vs. 72%), and 67% would pay more (vs. 63%) to support Canadian businesses.

The survey also says nearly two-thirds (63%) of Canadians believe putting Canada first is more important than prioritizing their own province.
The poll says 70% of Canadians now say they feel proud to be Canadian — a dramatic increase from 63% just three weeks ago — and 73% feel a strong sense of connection to the country, almost as high as their connection to their own families (79%).
(This survey was conducted by The Harris Poll Canada from March 7-9 on behalf of Petro-Canada with a sample of 1,530 Canadians aged 18+ online with a probability sample of this size having an estimated margin of error of ±2.5%, 19 times out of 20.)
