The four main political party leaders return Thursday night for a second election debate in as many days in Montreal.
Coming off the French-language faceoff on Wednesday, Liberal Leader Mark Carney, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet will debate the issues of the day in English.

The debate, which begins at 7 p.m. EDT, will be moderated by TVO’s Steve Paikin and will focus on affordability, energy and climate, leading in a crisis, public safety and security, and tariffs and threats to Canada.
This will be the final leaders’ debate before the April 28 vote.
On Wednesday, Poilievre voiced his message of economic sovereignty of Canada.
“The way we will restore that sovereignty is to make our economy stronger,” Poilievre said.
Carney pushed the idea that Canada should shift from trading with the U.S. to trading with the European Union.
“Our relationship with the United States has completely changed,” he said. “So imports from the United States and the geography — as Mr. Poilievre just said — of the pipelines is a national security problem for us.”
Singh said Canada needs to prioritize what matters most and invest rather than cut.
“A profound value for us is taking care of each other,” he said. “How we do that is reinforcing our health-care system, not Americanizing it.”
