“Erin … is being exploited into prostitution. She hangs around with a number of men who take her money. She is a very promiscuous girl.”— UK council social worker on a 12-year-old gang rape victim.

The victims were aged 10 to 14.

But because of the race of their rapists, woke cops and social workers concluded the girls deserved it.

Now, gang-raping a child should be a fairly clear-cut matter for cops, the Crown and social workers. Yet, the terrified girls who courageously went to the cops were told they were harming “social cohesion.”

Like a boozehound in a downward spiral, Great Britain’s left-leaning establishment could not admit the country had a problem. After all, a small army of enablers — lawyers, social workers, race grifters, politicians and academics — told them to relax, have another drink.

But in the clear light of day, the nation faced a reckoning on its betrayal of white, working-class girls in the name of political correctness.

Everyone knew the vast majority of the grooming gangs were Pakistani Muslim men, about 66%. In the U.K., they comprise just 3% of the population.

But woke “do-gooders” prevailed. They were terrified they would be called racist, the scarlet letter of the 21st century.

Former prime minister Justin Trudeau followed Britain’s lead in refusing to acknowledge that foreign-born terrorists, their sympathizers and garden-variety criminals were indeed a bad thing.

Minister of Innovation Melanie Joly summarized this craven philosophy when she told former NDP leader Tom Mulcair: “Have you seen the demographics in my riding?”

Sickos. Usman Ali, Gul Riaz, Banaras Hussain, Abdul Majid were part of yet another sex grooming gang. They operated with immunity.

In the U.K., Baroness Louise Casey was assigned to write a report. It is 200 damning pages and the government will now launch a long-delayed inquiry.

“I think you’ve got sort of do-gooders that don’t really want this to be found because, you know, ‘Oh, God, then all the racists are going to be more racist’,” she told Sky News.

“Well, actually, people who are racist are going to use this anyway. All you’re doing with the hate mongers and the racists is giving them more ammunition.”

Now, the British government is making it mandatory for cops to record the ethnicity and nationality of suspects accused of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Casey also found that in two-thirds of the cases, ethnicity data was not recorded. In several police reports, the word “Pakistani” had been redacted.

Even as numerous grooming gang members were arrested, charged, convicted and their photos splashed across the Fleet Street tabloids, the brigades of deniers remain steadfast.

As do the denizens of Canadian faculty lounges.

Our cities have become urban battlegrounds, our cars are being stolen, our homes robbed, our children trafficked or hooked on fentanyl. But there is an elephant in the room.

A quick perusal of police press releases and mugshots is informative.

There are the travelling gangs, mostly from Chile and Eastern Europe, who come to Canada to rob our homes. Gangs were arrested in Oakville last December, in Toronto in February and in York Region last week. After they wrap up their capers, they leave the country.

Does anyone ask any questions when they show up at the border? Canadian Border Security Agency? Hello?

In two big recent busts, cops have shattered what were allegedly major criminal organizations with a hand in the two truck wars and narcotics.

In another bust last week, a task force shattered a narcotics ring that was nabbed with nearly $50 million in cocaine smuggled across the border in tractor trailers.

Who decided that, yes, it’s a good idea to allow these alleged criminals into Canada? And what judge will low-ball their sentences so they don’t get deported?

Political correctness and mealy-mouthed politicians sacrificed thousands of young British girls on its altar.

By the stunning silence in this country, it appears we’re doing the same.

We’ll be waiting at the morgue. Just don’t call us racist.
