Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry spotted out for dinner in Montreal

Au revoir, Orlando Bloom and bonjour, Justin Trudeau.

Katy Perry is in Montreal where she was seen with the former prime minister having a bite at Le Violon, which prides itself as a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of the Plateau borough.

The 40-year-old singer is currently in the middle of her The Lifetimes Tour, and plays Montreal’s Bell Centre on Wednesday following Tuesday night in Ottawa.

In footage obtained by TMZ, the pop star appeared fascinated by what Canada’s ex-leader was saying, leaning in across the table during what looked like “a thoughtful conversation.”

An eyewitness told the outlet that they shared several dishes and sipped cocktails while security guards sat at the bar with their backs turned, but monitoring the meal via the mirrored glass.

The chef even came out to greet the pair at one point, TMZ reported, and after the meal, Perry and Trudeau went to the kitchen to personally thank staff.

The former PM’s father had a penchant for famous women.

Pierre Trudeau had a whirlwind romance with superstar singer Barbra Streisand in the late-‘60s before marrying Justin’s mother, Margaret Sinclair Trudeau.

Last month, Perry announced her split from longtime beau Bloom, with whom she shares four-year-old daughter Daisy.

Shortly after their breakup was revealed, Bloom was seen attending the Venice wedding festivities of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, partying it up with other famous guests including Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and celebrity stylist Jamie Mizrahi.

In 2023, Trudeau and wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau announced they were separating after 18 years of marriage.

They share three children — Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and 11-year-old Hadrien.

On Monday, Trudeau posted to Instagram images from a ski vacation in Switzerland with his eldest child.

“Took @xavtrudeau to Zermatt, Switzerland for some mountaineering, hiking, via ferrata-ing, and more melted cheese than anyone should safely eat,” the 53-year-old wrote.
