Police say the swimmer’s 12-year-old family member recognized signs of distress and pulled the swimmer back to shore.

They say a nearby bystander performed CPR and successfully revived the man once back on shore.

The swimmer was taken to hospital where no serious injuries were reported.

The OPP commended the “swift and courageous actions” of the young rescuer and bystander and reminded the public to be vigilant while swimming.
