A 31-year-old Napanee woman faces 14 charges, including attempted abduction, after an alleged bizarre incident at a local soccer field.

The OPP says on Wednesday they were called by a member of the public after a female allegedly smashed the window of a vehicle, threatened to kill bystanders and attempted to abduct a 12-year-old youth at a soccer game at Kinsman Field on Raglan St. in Napanee.

Cops say a parent attending the game intervened and the child was safely removed from the situation before the suspect fled on foot.

The accused, known to police, was located nearby and arrested.

Alysha Bourdeau faces charges of utter threats to cause death, two counts of assault with a weapon, abduction of person under 14, two counts of mischief – destroys or damages property – and eight counts of fail to comply with probation order.
