The OPP said that officers from the Orillia detachment responded to the collision involving two vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, on Hwy. 400, near Penetanguishene Rd. in Springwater Twp., on Monday at 10 p.m.
Officers started an impaired driving investigation after speaking to the driver of the tractor-trailer, the OPP said.
Norman Windover, 32, of Angus, Ont., has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol) and operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus.)
Windover was released on an undertaking, police said.
