Marie-Philip Poulin, Véronique Cloutier among Ordre national du Québec recipients

Montreal PWHL captain Marie-Philip Poulin and TV personality Véronique Cloutier are among 28 people named to the Ordre national du Québec.

The order honours those who “have contributed, in their own way, to shaping Quebec,” since its creation in 1984. The ceremony will be held June 19 at the National Assembly’s agora with Premier François Legault, and broadcast on television by the National Assembly channel.

Also honoured will be academics, including Yvette Mollen, associate professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Université de Montréal specializing in Innu, and Christiane Rousseau, U de M professor and former president of the Canadian Mathematical Society.

But popular personalities are well represented, including chef Jean-Luc Boulay, a judge on the Radio-Canada reality competition show Les Chefs!, and Découverte host Charles Tisseyre.

Régine Laurent, a TV analyst and former nurses’ union president who led a special commission on youth protection, is also on the list.
