A 17-year-old has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a Surrey teen late Saturday night near Vancouver’s Robson Square.
The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital after being found seriously injured on Howe Street shortly before midnight. He died soon after.
Vancouver police said on social media that a suspect, also from Surrey, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Monday when he presented himself to a VPD officer on patrol in the area of Kingsway and Nanaimo Street. He remains in custody.
Charges have not been laid and the investigation continues.
Police continue to ask for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in the area from late Saturday night to call 604-717-2500.
