Steph Matto, 31, thought she was having a stroke but eventually learned excessively farting in jars – and the diet that comes with that demanding gig – was too much for her body to handle.

Matto was popping out up to 50 jars of farts a week, which required her to increase her fiber intake.
She had previously subsided on beans and eggs but began mixing it up with banana protein shakes to enhance the smell.

“I didn’t tell my doctors about the farting in the jar but I did tell them about my diet,” explained Matto. “It was made clear that what I was experiencing wasn’t a stroke or heart attack but very intense gas pains.”
Her doctor advised her to change her diet and put her on a gas suppressant medication, which she said “effectively ended my business.”

The self-proclaimed “fartrepreneur” had worked two solid months on her venture, which began with a few requests.
“As luck would have it, once I put the jars up for sale they began to sell like hotcakes,” she said.
Matto reportedly made about $1,270 a jar, though she offered a 50% discount during the holidays.

Don’t cry for Matto just yet, though. She has since launched her fart jar NFTs because apparently the world needs more farts.
“There has never been a more unique and iconic launch of digital fart art!,” she wrote on Instagram. “We put the art in fart!”
According to Matto, 100 NFTs unlock a jar, which will make the owner “explode with excitement.”
