An American chess player has “categorically” denied using vibrating anal beads to beat the world’s top player during a tournament last year.
American Grandmaster Hans Niemann appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored over the weekend and was asked by the host if the accusation was true.
In September 2022, top ranked chess player Magnus Carlsen, of Norway, accused Niemann of receiving strategy tips through vibrating beads at the $500,000 Sinquefield Cup in St. Louis.
Following an investigation, chess officials were unable to find any evidence to support the shocking accusations.
Morgan wanted to know what Niemann’s initial reaction to the sensational story in the typically staid chess world.
“Well, obviously, it was very disheartening, to be accused of cheating after that victory,” Niemann said. “But, you know, these things … it happened, and I learned a lot from that time.”
Niemann was also asked if he learned anything from the experience.
