Kamila Grabska, 36, said she had constant neck and back pain, allegedly as a result of a crash on Feb. 3, 2017, the Irish Independent, The Guardian and NBC News reported.
The mother of two said her injuries from the crash prevented her from working, playing with her kids and doing basic chores for more than five years. But during a recent hearing, a photo from a newspaper was shown in which Grabska appears to be throwing a Christmas tree at the competition on Jan. 8, 2018.
Judge Carmel Stewart dismissed the case and said the “very graphic picture” played a role in her decision.
“It is a very large, natural Christmas tree and it is being thrown by her in a very agile movement,” she said, according to the Irish Independent, via The Guardian.
“I’m afraid I cannot but conclude the claims were entirely exaggerated. On that basis, I propose to dismiss the claim.”
Grabska argued that she was still in pain while taking part in the competition.
