It’s just the latest bad news for Andrew in a tidal wave of woe that has rocked the monarchy. On Thursday, Queen Elizabeth stripped the long-time Epstein pal of his titles — and money as his lawyers are starting to fight dirty by requesting Roberts’ mental health records.
Victim’s rights advocates are enraged as his team focuses on a “false memory” defence. On Wednesday last week, Andrew was informed that Epstein’s payout to Roberts did not cover him and that the civil suit can proceed, likely in the fall.
“[Roberts] believes Andrew should go to jail, but leaving him broke and destroyed may be enough,” a source close to her legal team told the Daily Mail.

Lawyer Charlotte Proudman blasted Andrew’s “victim-blaming” approach.
“[Andrew’s lawyers] are trying to discredit her. They are trying to find something she might have said to her psychologist that potentially undermines the claims she has made or to show potential inconsistencies,” Proudman told the Times.

Sources told the Mail that Andrew has only made matters worse for himself. Roberts has claimed she was forced to have underage sex with the prince on three occasions at the behest of Epstein and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
Prince Andrew has vehemently denied the allegations.
“No one can believe how badly Andrew and his legal team have messed up. His arrogance is what has destroyed him,” a source close to Roberts told the Mail. “It is Virginia’s firm belief that Andrew should go to jail for what he’s done, but in the end, leaving him broke and destroyed may be enough. He is already destroyed.”

The source added: “Now it’s a matter of how much money he offers [in a settlement] and how broke we leave him.”
Andrew’s exile came after a closed-door meeting with Prince Edward, Princess Anne, and Prince William to discuss what’s been called “the Andrew problem.”
Experts told the British media that a settlement would be “financially ruinous” for Andrew, who has been forced to sell his beloved $30-million ski chalet in the Swiss Alps. And so far, he has spent an estimated $3.5 million on legal fees, with the eventual price tag estimated to be around $17 million.
“If there is a settlement, it will have to be a big, big number. Prince Andrew was offered the chance to open negotiations before the civil suit was filed, but his lawyers ignored all our letters in the hope it would go away,” the Roberts source said.
“Virginia wants her day in court but, of course, any case can be settled for a variety of reasons. Andrew has ruined himself through his arrogance.”
