Meghan McCain, the divisive columnist and former host of The View, is set to release a “personal, intimate and raw” memoir that will surely have tongues wagging, according to People.
The audio-only memoir, released through Audible, is described as “the deeply personal narrative detailing McCain’s experience as the daughter of an American icon, a conservative rebel and a new mother.”
But it also has what many fans of The View are hoping for: “exclusive details surrounding her recent departure.”
The book will recount “the final moments she spent by her father (John McCain)’s side; her (mis)adventures on the New York dating scene before meeting her now-husband, Ben; her views on cancel culture, internet trolls and life backstage as the sole Republican on America’s most-watched daytime talk show — and why she decided to leave,” reports People.

McCain, 36, was a panelist for four years before she made a low-key exit from the show earlier this month – though her departure was rumoured long before that.
ABC reportedly wanted her to stay but McCain chose to leave after realizing her priorities had shifted.
“This was not an easy decision,” she told viewers in her exit reveal. “It took a lot of thought and counsel and prayer, and talking to my family and my close friends, and, you know, look — COVID has changed the world for all of us and it changed the way, at least for me, the way I am looking at life, the way I’m living my life, the way I want my life to look like.”
The talk show helped make her a household name – because of, and in spite of, the arguments she often had with her co-hosts.

Her last episode aired Aug. 6, during which she thanked the audience and the rest of the View panel for her time on the show.
“You women have been so incredible to work with. The crew, the producers, everyone works so hard, and honestly, the audience giving me four years to give my opinion and, you know, show my perspective,” she said.
“This has been a really wild ride the past four years of my life,” she continued. “It’s been, honestly, the best of times in all ways — on and off the show. And it’s been a really incredible, liberating experience and I will always cherish the time I spent with all of you.”
Bad Republican will be released Oct. 21.
