“Don and Kimberly haven’t been getting along over the past year,” a source told the New York Post‘s Page Six. “They get argumentative at Mar-a-Lago in front of people. Nothing crazy, but you know when a couple is fighting. They bicker in public.”

The report also suggests the pair’s relationship was rumoured to have been on the rocks for months while two other sources said they had officially gone their separate ways.

On Tuesday, Britain’s Daily Mail published images of Don Jr. holding hands with Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson following a romantic night out Monday at an exclusive eatery.

“Bettina and Don have been together for a few months, and are super cute and happy together,” another source told Page Six. “It’s just a natural fit — everyone is happy for them!”

The report also detailed a lavish weekend to celebrate Anderson’s 38th birthday, with Don Jr. gifting her a diamond necklace in white gold that included 100 jewels.

On Wednesday, around the same time Page Six reported the couple’s split, President-elect Donald Trump named Guilfoyle as U.S. ambassador to Greece.
