On Wednesday, a Nevada prosecutor claimed that the 46-year-old — who allegedly has a multitude of victims in Canada and the U.S. — once filmed himself sexually assaulting a child.
It was also claimed that Chasing Horse actively groomed young girls to replace his wives as they aged out.
“There is evidence that this individual is still in the process of grooming young children to replace the others as they grow up,” Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney William Rowels said.
Chasing Horse was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography, 8 News Now reported, citing the criminal proceedings.
A Nevada judge has set his bail at $300,000.

The former actor is accused of leading a cult called The Circle that attracted many Indigenous women. It was claimed on Wednesday that Chasing Horse kept detailed journals about his efforts to groom young girls, taking them from the farm team to his bedroom.

Detectives recovered the twisted journals from Chasing Horse’s North Vegas home on Jan. 31. He lived in the mansion with his five wives.
Rowles told reporters from 8 News Now that detectives discovered a shocking video that allegedly shows Chasing Horse sexually assaulting a girl who is aged 11-13.

“Throughout the video, the victim appears to be unconscious and displays minimal movement,” the federal complaint said.
“The male pans the camera toward his face. During this time the face of the adult male is clearly observed and can be identified as Chasing Horse.”
It’s believed Chasing Horse established The Circle more than two decades ago. He portrayed himself as a “medicine man” with magical powers, including the ability to communicate with spirits.

Cops say he used his growing influence to sexually and physically assault girls and women across the U.S. and Canada.
So far, investigators have identified at least six victims — including a woman who was 13 when Chasing Horse allegedly began abusing her. Another claimed she was given to Chasing Horse as a “gift” by her parents when she was 15.
Chasing Horse now faces eight felony charges in Nevada including sex trafficking, sexual assault, child abuse and possession of child pornography.
His family and followers gathered in the courtroom and outside. They waved signs that declared: “Justice for Chasing Horse” as he was given bail.
“What happened this morning was like a slap in the face,” said Rulon Pete, a representative of the victims. “Realistically, if he posts bail, that’s the mystery. What’s going to happen?”
Chasing Horse has also been charged in British Columbia for an alleged 2018 sex assault.
