According to People magazine, Ramos worked as a flight attendant for 25 years and was on a layover in Philadelphia after a flight from Los Angeles when she died. An unnamed flight attendant told People, “Everybody is still trying to figure out what happened and why her crew just left her.”
A spokesperson for American Airlines said company staff are “devastated” by the news of Ramos’ death, noting they are working with authorities in the investigation.
Philadelphia police chief inspector Scott Small told NBC 10 that Ramos “suffered a sudden death” and it’s being treated as suspicious.
