Brooke Anderson, 27, who taught at Riverview High School in Riverview, Fla., allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a male student since September 2024, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office claimed in a news release.
The alleged sick relationship began with “sexually explicit text messages,” but escalated in the weeks leading up to the arrest, cops said.
The student reported “multiple instances of sexual activity,” according to the allegations.
The most recent incident between the teacher and student took place on the morning of May 16, inside Anderson’s classroom before the start of the school day, police said.
Anderson was arrested later that day and released May 17 after a judge set her bail at $45,000 — $15,000 for each count, according to People magazine.

“This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community,” Sheriff Chad Chronister alleged.
“What should have been a safe, supportive environment for learning was exploited for abuse,” he contended. “Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing.”
Anderson, who taught biology with the Hillsborough County Public Schools district since 2021, has been “suspended pending termination,” according to the district.
Unlawful sexual activity with a minor is a second-degree felony in Florida. If found guilty, Anderson could face up to 15 years behind bars.

The affidavit alleged that Wright’s husband recorded her admitting to kissing the student two or three different times while tutoring him at his home, the outlet reported.
Other witnesses alleged they saw Wright “making out” with the student in multiple places, including a Taco Bell parking lot and the parking lot of a church.
Court documents show that Wright was allowed to resign from the school on April 3 amid allegations of “inappropriate contact with [the student] to include physical touching, communications, and providing the child a ride to school in her personal vehicle on several occasions.”
She is due in court on June 6.
