Kevin Maginnis, who is known as @bigmaccoaching on TikTok, began documenting his journey on the platform, using an unconventional weight loss plan — an all McDonald’s diet.
So he decided to go to McDonald’s – but not to gorge or wallow in self-pity. Maginnis had a plan.
“I’m going to eat nothing but McDonald’s for the next 100 days,” he revealed.
“But instead of eating everything they give me, I’m going to go ahead and cut the meals in half just to prove to myself and maybe some of the other people watching that it’s not as much what you’re eating, it’s the quantity that we’re eating that really jacks us up.”
Disbelieving commenters asked about the potential food waste but he assured followers that he would save the other half of the meal for the next time he eats.
Maginnis also said he would skip the soft drinks and drink water instead.
On Thursday, Day 10 of his diet, Maginnis appeared on the Today show where he updated his progress, saying, it’s “absolutely working.”

He was asked if he consulted a physician about his so-called diet.
“I’ve had cardiologists that love it, and I have cardiologists that hate it,” Maginnis admitted, but he is positive he will be down 50 pounds by the end of the 100 days.
“My health will be better. My blood work will be better,” he declared. “And if you don’t believe me, follow along. Let’s find out.”
