Police allegedly found sexual messages with a student on Melchionne’s cellphone, including nude photos, according to the arrest warrant, obtained by WVIT.
The student also alleged that Melchionne touched him and performed other sexual acts with the door closed and blinds pulled down for privacy.
The accused, who is no longer employed by Norwalk Public Schools, also allegedly gave the child money for Uber rides and food as well as $100 at Christmas last year, the student told police.

Melchionne was arrested on Thursday and charged with sexual assault in the second degree and also faces two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
“The safety of our students is our first concern,” the school board said in a statement. “Norwalk Public Schools is cooperating with the Norwalk Police Department’s investigation and has no further comment.”
Melchionne’s attorney Mark Sherman released a statement insisting “these are just accusations” and “Luisa is still very much entitled to the presumption of innocence.”
Sherman added: “What we do know is that these charges are being brought against a devoted wife and mother who has dedicated over 20 years to her profession, and it’s going to take some time to investigate this case.”
Melchionne’s bond was set at $500,000.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 6.
