On Thursday, he was named to the U.S. Marshals Service’s 15 Most Wanted Fugitives list. That means he has a target painted squarely on his back and there’s no safe space for him anywhere.
The Marshals are hunting Davis for a nasty bit of business in Miami. He is also wanted in Ontario for his alleged role in the kidnapping and presumed murder of Elnaz Hajtamiri.

The 37-year-old woman was kidnapped in the dead of night from a relative’s Wasaga Beach home by three armed men wearing police gear. That was in January 2022. She has not been seen alive since and is presumed dead.
OPP and York Regional Police detectives eventually unravelled a convoluted plot suspected to be connected to stolen vehicles being shipped to the Middle East.

Her former boyfriend is charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder.
But Deshawn “Thorobread” Davis’s bigger problem is now the U.S. Marshals and that gang-related murder in Miami.
On May 7, 2023, Davis allegedly opened fire during a party at the GALA nightclub in Miami Beach. Rapper, impresario and talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment, Lowell “Lo” Grissom, was shot to death. Two women were also injured.
Cops in Miami believe the Grissom slaying was targeted and gang-related.

Sources said that Davis fled to Florida after he was named a fugitive in the maze-like Hajtamiri probe.
OPP detectives believe that Hajtamiri’s ex-boyfriend, Mohamad Lilo of Laval, Que., Davis and another accomplice posed as the cops and dragged the terrified young woman into a white SUV.

That would be the Sunshine State where he allegedly resumed his criminal career.
“Placing Deshawn Davis on the U.S. Marshals Service 15 Most Wanted list reflects the heinous nature of his alleged crimes and shows our resolve to bring him to justice,” said U.S. Marshals Service Director Ronald L. Davis.
The U.S. Marshals are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to Davis’s capture.

The USMS in the Southern District of Florida and the USMS Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force have adopted the Miami Beach Police murder warrant and are collaborating with the USMS Investigative Operations Division Office of Canadian Affairs to locate Davis, who is believed to be still in the U.S.

As I said, Davis’ problems are mounting.
Twenty-odd years ago, I saw the U.S. Marshals in action firsthand on W. 47th St. in New York City.
A guy from Texas who slaughtered his family decided to shoot it out with the Marshals on the busy street off Times Square. I missed the shootout but the winner was not in doubt.
