Joe Biden wears Trump hat during awkward photo op

Did U.S. President Joe Biden inadvertently support Donald Trump during 9/11 anniversary events on Wednesday?
During a stop at a fire station in Shakesville, Pa., to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, Biden was pictured interacting with an individual who was wearing a baseball cap emblazoned with Trump’s name on it. In the exchange, which was captured on video on TikTok, it looks like Biden offered to trade one of his presidential hats for the Trump supporter’s cap.
“I’ll give you my presidential hat,” Biden told the man, stating it has the “presidential seal on it.”
The Trump hat-wearing man insisted Biden sign the hat, which he obliged. The man then began to mock the President.
“Do you remember your name?” the man asked Biden, per New York Post.
“I don’t remember my name,” retorted the president. “I’m slow.”
“You’re an old fart,” said the Trump supporter.
“I’m an old guy,” said Biden.
“You’re an old fart, right?” the man said.
“I know you would know about that,” Biden replied in the awkward exchange.
Biden then asked the old man for the Trump hat, which he briefly put on his head. The hat’s owner asked Biden if he wanted his autograph.
“Hell no,” said Biden.
Outside that same Shanksville firehouse on the same day, Biden also posed for a picture with a group of children, some of which wore pro-Trump shirts.
In pictures circulating on social media, the president looked out of place as he stood for a group photo with the kids.
According to the New York Post, Biden delivered beer and pizza to the fire station after a wreath-laying ceremony at the United Airlines Flight 93 memorial.
