Per people.com, Carey was asked about it while on BBC Radio’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Thursday and her responses went viral.

“Would you fancy going to space? You know, like Katy Perry did,” Mills asked Carey, 56, who responded, “Did she go to space?”

Mills confirmed that Perry, 40, did indeed go to space, and Carey followed up with, “Where’d she go?”

A crew member shouted off-camera that Perry went “just into orbit and back.”

“Into orbit and back? She was, like, floating in the … and this is true?” Carey asked to which Mills said, “Yeah, I have not made this up. This is true.”

“Wow. Alright Katy,” a shocked Carey said, adding, “I’m not mad at her. That’s pretty amazing.”

“I mean, she hasn’t stopped talking about it since,” Mills added of Perry’s trip to space and back. “But it happened. Would you do it?”

Carey responded: “I think I’ve done enough.”

In April, Perry, 40, along with journalist Gayle King, philanthropist Lauren Sánchez, and three others went to the edge of space aboard a Blue Origin rocket on an all-female mission that lasted just over 10 minutes.
