Meghan Markle was forced to apologized to the Court of Appeal in London, England, for failing to disclose communications with former press secretary, Jason Knauf, regarding the book about her life, Finding Freedom.
Now, Samantha Markle figured that while her sister was in defence mode, it would be the perfect time to take Meghan to court.
Samantha is claiming Meghan provided false information about her to the authors of the book, and is considering suing the royal for defamation, libel, slander and breach of privacy.
She was reportedly shocked when Meghan’s 20-page written apology came out, which contradicted a claim that she had not worked with authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
Knauf’s messages showed that Meghan sent him details about both Samantha and brother Thomas Jr., asking him to pass them along to the writers, court was told.

In her apology, Meghan said she urged him to say that her siblings had “dropped out of high school” and that she had “never had a relationship with either of them.”
Meghan added in the third person: “Upon Meghan dating Harry, Samantha changed her name back to Markle and began a career creating stories to sell to the press. She had lost custody of all three of her children from different fathers.”
Samantha disputes Meghan’s claims and is “looking at suing for defamation in the U.S.,” while suing for “a breach of privacy and data privacy act breach” are being considered in the U.K., according to the Mirror.

“Jason Knauf is subpoenable and the messages to [him] are evidence she was libelling and slandering me,” Samantha alleged in an interview with the Mirror. “’Anything to keep this family quiet’ was my sister’s motto. It’s horrible.”
Samantha denies losing custody of her children. As for her name change, Markle — who herself has a book of her own, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister — claims she did that long before Meghan met Prince Harry.
“But she wanted to make us look estranged and separated to discredit us, as that was an excuse to keep everybody away from the wedding.”
Meghan’s written statement was part of her litigation against Associated Newspapers Limited, publisher of The Mail on Sunday newspaper. Meghan said she had “forgotten” what details she told Knauf to pass along to the authors.
