They are among the most astonishing items left behind in hotel rooms after guests had checked out, according to a new report that surveyed more than 400 hotels from around the world, including Canada, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
The Hotel Room Innsights Report from Hotels.com also revealed the most bizarre room service orders.
“By asking hotels to reveal the secrets behind their most memorable stays, we discovered that these ‘innsights’ have actually inspired services available to guests today,” Melanie Fish, vice president of Global Public Relations at Hotels.com, said in a news release.
“From guitar concierges to pet healers, hotels are catering to travellers’ unique demands, which may well become the norm.”

The report said the most common forgotten items are dirty laundry, device chargers, makeup, toiletries and underwear.
However, guests have also left behind some pretty expensive trinkets, including an engagement ring, a Hermes Birkin bag, and keys and documents for a luxury car.
One hotel reported a chick and pet lizard were found by staff after their owners had checked out. The pets were returned safely.
