Families seated near the woman noticed her taking swigs from a bottle of wine that was stashed in her carry-on.
She was also served more wine and a Bloody Mary before the quiet flight erupted into “bedlam,” the U.K. Sun reported.
“She slugged as much wine as she could, got up from her seat, and intentionally spat the wine swilling around her mouth into their faces. It was disgusting and rancid,” one witness recounted to the outlet about the woman’s alleged attack on a “petrified” family of three.
She continued to mock and pester the family, including throwing water at them and grabbing the wife’s hair. But it all became too much and she became violently sick — and hurled on the three.

“It was bedlam. The poor family were so upset and angry — and they had every right to be,” the witness told the outlet.
“The woman was a total disgrace. It was obvious she was completely blotto just minutes into the flight.
“After she was sick, the whole cabin stank. It was a nightmare for everyone. She caused a major interruption … She was undoubtedly the ultimate passenger from hell.”
According to FlightAware, the flight was not delayed, so that may be the one positive thing to come from the pukefest.
The vile passenger claimed it was her birthday and she wanted to celebrate with a “few drinks.” However, other travellers noted she was “stumbling and moaning incoherently” as she was getting up to go the bathroom.

The family was moved from the economy section of the plane to the front of the aircraft after the woman spewed in the cabin and crew members informed the cockpit of the disturbance.
The captain radioed ahead to give a heads up to law enforcement about the woman’s “inexcusable drunken outrage.”
The plane was met by cops upon landing, and she was arrested by the FBI.
Crew members and passengers provided statements, but the investigation is ongoing.
British Airways has not commented on the incident.
