Alexander Tominksy, 31, celebrated the end of his quest on Sunday by having hundreds of people cheer him on at an abandoned pier near the Delaware River, reports dailymail.com.
Onlookers were invited to join through a cryptic flier posted around the city with the message, “Come See Me Eat An Entire Rotisserie Chicken,” at noon “on that abandoned pier by Walmart.”
When he started on Sept. 28, Tominsky shared updates to millions through his social media accounts — he goes by @AlexiconTom on Twitter — and said he decided on the 40 days of eating rotisserie chicken because “it seemed like the right thing to do.”

But as Tominsky, who works at Philly steakhouse Barclay Prime, continued to chow down on the chicken, he became less enamoured with the diet.
“I mean, nothing’s a challenge without a little bit of pain and without a little bit of pain, it’s hard to understand what it feels like to feel good,” Tominksy told local news agency Billy Penn.
Tominsky, who has lived in Philadelphia for eight years, added: “I have had so much sodium and have felt really dizzy at times and my stomach is just bloated.”
