The man was walking his dog on Tuesday morning when he noted a smashed window and blood on the front door of the house. Responding police officers captured a suspect who was lying inside on a bed covered in blood, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Police alleged the suspect woke up as the deputies entered the room and said he “was unsure of the previous night’s events.”
Authorities said a large bay window was broken and that the suspect passed out due to loss of blood and severe pain. He later got stitches at the hospital before being taken to jail.
Jonathan Leaf, 32, faces burglary and criminal mischief charges.
