Queen Elizabeth has postponed a Wednesday meeting after doctors advised her to rest.
“After a full day yesterday, Her Majesty has this afternoon accepted doctors’ advice to rest,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said. “This means that the Privy Council meeting that had been due to take place this evening will be rearranged.”
The postponement comes after the monarch met with Liz Truss on Tuesday to appoint her Britain’s new prime minister after she received Boris Johnson’ resignation.
The release of photos from the Queen and Truss’ meeting at her Balmoral Castle in Scotland sparked renewed concerns about the 96-year-old’s health.

Many concerned royal fans took to Twitter to express their concern about the Queen’s hand, which appeared blue to some, purple to others.
Some suggested she is suffering from circulation issues, while others alluded to older people in their own lives whose skin has thinner with age and more susceptible to bruises.
Another chimed in, theorizing that perhaps the Queen recently had an IV in her hand, or had bloodwork done.
There were those who joked that maybe she is “mutating,” while others called her a true “blue blood.”
Another added: “She’s 96. Let’s see how blue your hand is when you are 96.”
The queen’s health has been making headlines since last year when she began walking with a cane for the first time in 17 years, though palace insiders said it was for her “comfort.”
