The hedge fund boss’s quixotic quest reflected his fascination with transhumanism, the Times said.
The science aims to improve the population through tech-like genetic engineering and artificial intelligence.
Critics call it dressed-up eugenics.
Epstein reportedly told one scientist he wanted his head and penis to be frozen, the Times reported.
The news comes as lawyers for the billionaire sex predator said they will need at least a year to review the mountain of evidence against the wealthy pervert.
Epstein, 66, has been charged with a slew of sex trafficking charges in his years’ long hunt for younger and younger girls.

Prosecutors asked a judge to schedule Epstein’s trial for June 2020 but defence attorney Martin Weinberg said his team wants to wait until September 2020.
Modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel was allegedly ready to serve up two 8-year-olds to his pal Jeffrey Epstein.
“We need time to receive a million pages of discovery and prepare to defend a four- to six-week trial,” Weinberg said during a brief hearing in Manhattan on Wednesday.
“We need time to assess events that occurred 14 to 17 years ago.”
The judge set a tentative trial date of June 8 and asked the parties to keep him updated on their progress.
Epstein has pleaded not guilty and said he has fully complied with the law for more than 14 years.

The FBI now admits that it shut down a federal investigation into Epstein’s sleazy antics with underage girls because he ratted out others.
In addition, reports reveal that the horndog hedge fund manager was offered two girls who were just eight-years-old to a top modelling agent.
Messages left for the billionaire by his friend Jean-Luc Brunel, himself the subject of abuse allegations, describe a female “2 x 8 years old” willing to give “Russian lessons.”
Virginia Roberts was 15 when this photo was taken by Jeffrey Epstein.
The messages sent from Brunel appeared on a notepad seized by cops at the time of Epstein’s 2008 conviction, the Daily Mail reports.
The message from 2005 read: “He has a teacher for you to teach you how to speak Russian. She is 2 x 8 years old not blonde. Lessons are free and you can have 1st today if call me back.”
Brunel himself has been hammered by sex-abuse whispers that he procured underage girls to be molested his wealthy pals.
“[Brunel] would “bring young girls (ranging to ages as young as 12) to the United States for sexual purposes and farm them out to his friends, especially Epstein,” victim Virginia Roberts said.
