Havemann-Niedrach has now been charged with seven counts of sexual crimes against the unidentified boy. The pair were in a sexual relationship.

According to cops, detectives began investigating the Freehold Intermediate School teacher when the vice-principal said he was worried about an inappropriate relationship between the teacher and a Grade 8 student.

One teacher allegedly caught Havemann-Niedrach “rubbing the victim’s neck and back” and “flirting with him and noticed her touching his leg,” the New York Post reports. In addition, the pair ate lunch together in her classroom every day.

Havemann-Niedrach has denied the charges.

The boy’s mother also became alarmed when her daughter revealed she had seen her brother in Havemann-Niedrach’s car. He allegedly told pals that he was dating the teacher.

When confronted by detectives, the boy claimed he was dating the teacher’s daughter and that the older woman had done nothing wrong.

However, thousands of text messages suggested otherwise. He eventually told cops that he had been having sex with the teacher.

The alleged sexual abuse reportedly began in early 2024 and only stopped when Havemann-Niedrach was arrested last June. Police said the abuse occurred at the teacher’s house and local hot-sheet hotels.

She was charged with single counts of aggravated sexual assault, child endangerment through the manufacture of child sex abuse materials, official misconduct and sexual assault, as well as three counts of endangering.

She was bailed to her parent’s home following her initial arrest and barred from using a computer or speaking to any children besides her own.

Asia Michael, the district’s superintendent of schools, said: “The district takes each and every allegation of this nature very seriously and takes action swiftly when appropriate and as needed.

“Upon the advice of counsel, and in consideration that this matter is currently working through the criminal justice system, the district will not provide any comment.”

Meanwhile, two teachers at a private Christian school in Georgia have been arrested and face a slew of sexual misconduct charges involved the one teenaged boy.

Sherri Delle Mauldin, 60, was arrested on charges of improper sexual contact by an employee, agent, or foster parent, aggravated child molestation, and statutory rape.

Mauldin is accused of committing the offences while teaching at private Nathaniel Greene Academy, a Christian, K-12 college preparatory school in Siloam, about 130 km east of Atlanta.

Three days previously, another former teacher at Nathaniel Greene Academy was also arrested and charged with improper sexual contact — involving the same student.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation launched a probe into Bonnie Elizabeth Brown, 25, in June 2024, alleging “that Brown had engaged in sexual contact with a student while employed as a teacher.”

She was a preschool teacher at the time of her arrest.

According to the boy’s lawyer, he was under 16 at the time of the assaults.

The lawyer said, “There was physical contact at the school and outside the school.”

The alleged victim added in a statement to People: “I am relieved that these two women have been arrested and the crimes are being fully investigated.

“These women took advantage of their positions as my teachers. My school did not protect me as a child. I see that now, and I hope that these arrests will protect our community and children in it.”
