He told Thailand news outlet Khaosod Online that he had previously seen a snake in the downstairs bathroom. He was unable to catch it on several occasions, so he decided to close it off for a month and use the other one instead.

Thangtewanon said he went to the washroom on the second floor of his home around 10 a.m. on Monday “to do my usual personal business.”

He explained that he always flushes the toilet before sitting down so that he can check it is working properly and to “prevent any strange things.”

He sat for awhile and then felt something biting his testicles, which was very painful.

“Yes, I was caught by a snake, which was biting my balls,” he wrote, according to a translation of his post.

He immediately stood up and tried to pull the python hiding in the toilet bowl but had difficulty removing the slithering serpent.

“When I grabbed it, it also bit my finger,” he said. “But I didn’t feel any pain.”

Eventually, Thangtewanon was able to remove the snake from the bowl and beat it to death with a nearby toilet brush.

“I hurried down to call the [security] guard to throw it away,” he wrote. “I called my friends who live next door to send me to the hospital.”

Thangtewanon said he is fine after being looked at by doctors, but he must go back for more blood tests to check for symptoms from the bite.

“Fortunately, it’s a non-venomous python,” he wrote.

Thangtewanon said he posted about the scary incident on social media because he wanted to warn his friends.

“I want to warn everyone that this kind of incident can happen,” he told Khaosod Online. “I think the snake might have been in the pipes because the neighbouring house also found a snake in their toilet, though it was a different one from the one that bit me.”
