William and Kate accused of 'photoshopping' family Christmas card

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have a lot of explaining to do.

Prince William and Princess Kate shared their 2023 family Christmas card to social media over the weekend, a sparse black and white photo of the Royal couple with their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8 and Prince Louis, 5.

The photo went viral as followers noted apparent visual inaccuracies within the image, as it appears their eldest has an extra leg and the youngest child is missing a finger.

“Photoshop fail,” one person wrote. “There’s an extra leg in this picture! How did the photographer not notice?”

“Anyone talking about why Prince Louis is just missing a finger?” another follower asked.

Despite the criticisms, the photo also received compliments from some followers.

“All fingers are accounted for,” one person insisted in defence to the accusations. “They are just spread on the armchair. No extra legs, either.

“It’s a beautiful, simple and classy family photo that so many can relate to. I love the down-to-earth of the denim and converse. Well done.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were more than 24,000 comments and nearly 2.8 million likes on the photo.
