Days before Taylor Schabusiness, 25, allegedly strangled beau Shad Thyrion, 25, in Green Bay, she was scouring the internet for information about the notorious killer.
She is on trial for murdering Thyrion and then dismembering his body in 2022 following a meth-fueled sex session. She has pleaded not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide, third-degree sexual assault, and mutilating a corpse.
Thyrion’s body parts — including his organ-less torso — were scattered around his mother’s basement. Cops say she dumped his head and penis in a bucket. More remains were found in Schabusiness’ minivan.
Green Bay Police Det. Jenna Luberda testified about the alleged internet searches made by the accused killer in the days leading up to the murder.

Among her searches were for Dahmer, who murdered 17 young men in Milwaukee between 1978 and 1991. He was later murdered in prison.
The investigator said Schabusiness also looked into flaming pentagrams and custom blow-up sex dolls.
“There were more references to Jeffrey Dahmer and searches for Jeffrey Dahmer, pictures, things of that nature,” Luberda said, adding the fangirl kept photos of Dahmer on her phone.

Schabusiness’ lawyer called for a mistrial, noting that people search weird topics all the time. The prosecution took a different view.
“The state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Mrs. Schabusiness intended to engage in this conduct, that she intended to kill Shad Thyrion and dismember his body,” prosecutors said, adding that “her interest in Jeffrey Dahmer is relevant to this case.

“The state’s position, clearly, is that she did this because she wanted to do this, this was something that interested her.”
The judge sided with the prosecution.

Earlier, forensic psychologist Diane Lytton, who examined Schabusiness, claimed that she “had a thing with Jeffrey Dahmer a year ago.”
The headshrinker did not think Schabusiness was fit to stand trial and may have suffered a psychotic breakdown. When Lytton mentioned the murder, the temperamental temptress threw a chair at her.
An autopsy revealed that dismemberment occurred post-mortem.
She allegedly told cops she enjoyed choking her boyfriend so much she couldn’t stop but added she didn’t mean to kill him.
If convicted, Schabusiness faces life behind bars. Wisconsin does not have the death penalty.
