HIKING – Get out to see Victoria Park after dark with Night Hikes, hosted every Monday at 6:30 p.m. Meet at Truro Middle School and the group leaders will take you from there.
“They do a number of different hikes at different ability levels,” said Ashley Simms, director of Truro’s parks and recreation department in an interview on Jan. 3. “Right now we have on average between 100 and 150 people that attend those hikes.”
Bring your headlamp, and if it’s snowing, bring snowshoes or crampons for your shoes. Snowshoes can be borrowed through the town of Truro’s equipment loan program.
