Does Justin Trudeau even really believe in Parliament?
In fact, back in May, Trudeau voted in favour of a motion which said, “holding an election during a pandemic would be irresponsible, and that it is the responsibility of the government to make every effort to ensure that voters are not called to the polls as long as this pandemic continues.”

In fact, right now, Trudeau and the Liberals are suing the Speaker of the House of Commons in order to keep documents secret. MPs from the opposition had demanded the government release documents related to the firing of two scientists from Canada’s National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg.

When the demand was refused the Speaker found the government in contempt of Parliament and order the documents be released. That’s when Trudeau took the speaker to court to keep them sealed up.
So much for openness, so much for transparency, so much for his promises in both the 2015 and 2019 elections to improve how the Commons works.
“Parliament works best when its members are free to do what they have been elected to do: be the voice for their communities, and hold the government to account,” the Liberal platform stated.
The last thing the Trudeau Liberals want Parliament to do is hold them to account but let’s hope voters do when they cast their ballots on September 20.
