ELBOWS UP
“Trump is deserving of boos, but the players and fans visiting from Baltimore as our guests are not” (Joe Warmington, March 27) is a wonderful platitude, but Trump isn’t listening. Signing trade agreements and then reneging on them should never be acceptable behaviour. It’s great that Canadians have a reputation for impeccable behaviour, but Trump and his supporters just see it as weakness. Therefore, since some of the players and fans visiting from Baltimore and other U.S. cities for Jays games are Trump supporters, we need to let them know that reneging on CUSMA will not be tolerated. As the saying goes, “Elbows up”

TECH FOR THE MILITARY
There will never be another war fought between major powers on foot. Technology is what Canada needs to invest in for our army. The Ukraine war is showing us a tonne about Russian impotence. When the United States has a problem in Yemen, the Middle East — anywhere — a strategic drone is sent there and it’s done. Some guy in Vegas flying a drone over the Middle East via a video game-like console drops highly accurate bombs on the problem. This is what Canada needs to invest in military wise.

(It’s one of the many areas of technology we need to put resources towards. Canada is falling behind when many other nations are already making these investments)
WANT A BETTER FUTURE? VOTE CONSERVATIVE
Conservatives are going to cut the GST on new homes to help younger families afford a home. I’m 70 years old and own my house, like most seniors, but selling out your kids and grandkids by voting Liberal because your house is paid off shows how much you really care about the younger generation. I’m always there for my kids. How about the rest of you seniors. Vote for the Conservatives so your kids can buy a home now, instead of inheriting yours when they are over 60.
