CHILL OUT

Everyone needs to relax about tariffs. We’ve co-existed with the U.S.A. for almost two centuries. This tariff dispute is merely a bump in the road. Presidents and prime ministers will come and go. The only sure thing in life is change. We have learned over the years to sleep with a giant and not get squished. This time is no different. When voting, choose policy over politics. The Titanic shuffled the deck chairs with a new captain, however it is still the Titanic.

(Very true – Canada will make it through this and hopefully strengthen our economy while we are at it)

CANADA OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Canada has an opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade. The U.S.A. is quickly becoming a rogue state, with Germany, the U.K., Denmark, Finland, Portugal and ourselves issuing travel warnings to citizens. TSA agents are searching people’s phones, anything negative about the ‘Orange Tzar’ will see refusal to entry. Trump is a president, not a deity. Let’s promote tourism in Canada like never before. We welcome everybody, regardless of religion, race or colour. Canada is open for business. Come on over.

Thomas Ryerson

(It is an opportunity for our great country to capitalize on the uncertainty)

CARNEY TAKING CONSERVATIVE IDEAS

Mark Carney has been advising former prime minister Justin Trudeau for an extended period of time. Trudeau’s policies, especially his carbon tax, mirrors Carney’s policies. But suddenly Mark Carney has adopted Poilievre’s platform. When did Mark Carney become a conservative convert? Was it when the polls suddenly favoured Poilievre’s approach? Did Carney convert to conservatism simply to win the next election? And, if Carney wins the next election, will he continue to govern as a conservative or revert back to his failed liberal approach? Perhaps Pierre Poilievre is correct when he says Carney is trying to trick us into voting for the Liberals. Carney’s inner circle sure looks like Trudeau’s old gang.

(Carney taking Conservative ideas and selling them under them under the Liberal banner because he knows how poorly received Liberals policies are)
