WHAT A DOPE

So, let me get this straight: If Canada is a source country of fentanyl entering the U.S.A. (only 1%), what does this say about the inept Trumpster’s border patrol for not finding and stopping that fentanyl from entering the country in the first place? I’m all ears for the Trump logic. Over to you MAGA (or whatever you call yourself). Make me see this BS!

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT

Our federal brainiacs have said they have to find savings. I’m no economist (although my husband is), but as a now-retired housewife, I feel a responsibility to find savings. No one has asked me to; it is simply the responsible thing for all of us to do. Think of New York City. Could our government not start at the bottom, i.e. the broken window syndrome, or the turnstile-jumping subway syndrome? Where are our elected officials wasting money? How about within their expense accounts? What are the government’s expenses during out-of-town conferences? How many large spaces are already available at taxpayers’ expense within Parliament Hill? Why go to Muskoka? When they applied to run for their positions, they all knew they would be out of town. Did they not buy takeout coffees at home? Could they brown bag their lunch daily? Could meetings not be catered by a Canadian fast-food chain? If we see this type of responsibility and respect for our dollars that are paying their salaries, then in the end, they may be rewarded by being elected again, hence maintaining their salary and benefits, which a lot of us do not have. Think about it. I’m fed up with reading about the spending and not the savings.

(Video calls work for committee meetings, so no need for expensive conferences)
