BORDER SECURITY

Here’s to the wise person who realizes that people who cross from Canada to the U.S. are allowed in or not by U.S. customs. If they do not want people coming into their country, the onus is on the U.S. to police that – not Canada. Secure your own borders, Trump.

(In part, Trump’s point is the Biden administration didn’t do that for the last four years. But Canada has a duty to secure our border and to suggest otherwise isn’t accurate)

TRUMPING TRUDEAU

Re “Trudeau and company ‘demented'” (Bryan Passifiume, Dec. 4): You gotta love Jordan Peterson, a well-respected Canadian psychologist who’s not afraid or too woke to say it out aloud. Finally, someone has hit the nail square on the head, “The PM’s 14-year-old mentality, and everything that has gone wrong on the immigration front in Canada is 100% attributed to Justin Trudeau and his pack of demented minions,” and to see him (Trudeau) flailing around to find someone to blame is exactly as pathetic as you’d expect from someone like him. Peterson said it out loud while front and centre on Fox News, the most watched news network in total day and prime-time viewers, with 2.1 million viewers — standing ovations all around. Canadians from coast-to-coast know it’s time for Trudeau to go, and apparently 2.1 million Americans now know Canada is run by a prime minister with a 14-year-old mentality. Trudeau versus Trump, Jan. 20, 2025 — let the games begin.

(Canada needs an election)

COSLTY GUN BAN

Last week, the Liberals increased the number of unlawful firearms by 324 to the list of 1,500 previously banned guns. Apparently, up until now it has cost the taxpayers $79 million for the buyback program, even though not one gun has been returned. Now they are adding another 324 assault-style rifles to the list. My question is this: Since none of the cabinet members know diddly squat about guns, how much are they paying consultants to come up with the list?

(It’s an excellent question. Just one more thing for Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre to unwind)
