SHOW SOME HUMILITY
Is it time to change the dialogue? If anyone was asked, “Have you ever been wrong? Could you ever be wrong again?” Only the most extreme narcissist or helplessly delusional person could answer that they are always right. If this is true, then it ought to result in a level of humility and grace in our lives. Many are deceived into thinking that humility and grace somehow show a weakness in conviction and leadership, but the opposite is true — humility and grace show a strength of character that leads to unity. Convictions can still be held and opinions expressed, but with the knowledge that we are fallible, then our sharing of convictions and expressions of opinion should be with humility and grace. This leads to kindness and respect for others in our interactions. My hope would be for politicians and media to start changing the dialogue by introducing humility and grace into everything they say. People are hungry for leaders who speak with humility and grace, showing kindness and respect. If our politicians and media fail in this hope, then it is up to the people to set the example Don’t wait for the other person to change. It is not dependent on whether the other person is kind and respectful. Your actions are not about them — it’s about how you see yourself, your recognition that you can be wrong.

(This is a nice sentiment — and accurate. However, our current political class wouldn’t possibly demonstrate these behaviours)
NO VALUE AD
Recently we have been inundated with millions of dollars in radio and television advertisements promoting all the measures the feds are taking to reduce gun violence. On the other hand, I read about a 14-year-old allegedly executing a student inside a school, as well as many other acts of murder and gun crimes committed by youth and gangs. Do they not realize their efforts are having zero effect?

SPEAK UP
It appears most people are just blaming the prime minister for the latest issues, which with his decisions are upsetting and dividing this beautiful country. I say all his Liberal MPs and important staff are just as implicit. Don’t they have the parts to stand up and be counted at meetings. To a person, they have to know they are leading Canada into a dark place. As for all the Liberal voters, your children and grandchildren will be in as much debt as all the others. Think about that.

(It would be nice to think that there is someone in that caucus or the staff Trudeau is surrounded by who would be the adult in the room or a voice of reason)
THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE
I am praying for the people of Ukraine following Russia’s unprovoked and unconscionable invasion of their homeland. Putin’s actions violate global peace and security and will only result in immense suffering and loss of life. He must be held accountable.
