Mark Carney has worked at various jobs, notably quite a bit outside of our country. The Liberals like to bring in outside consultants to do the jobs that someone else is/has already been paid to do. Why don’t the Liberals call it what it really is. Carney is nothing more than a consultant being interviewed for the position of their party leader.
(And it seems they want to give him a coronation as their leader. Carney will have to twist himself into a pretzel to try distance himself from the Trudeau Liberals whom he has been advising for a few years)
STOP FREAKING OUT
Everybody, especially fearmonger Warren Kinsella, needs to stop panicking and overreacting (“Stand with him or with us,” Jan. 9). We are not about to become the 51st state; it’s not going to happen. Donald Trump did what he does best, he got our attention. His thinking outside of the box woke us up to the global realities of EU-type alliances and Chinese Communist Party hegemony. To consider alternate ideas and opportunities such as a renewed Canada/USA partnership. An alliance to create a new global powerhouse is in our interest. We can be bold, think big, get stronger and still remain Canada. Or, be swallowed up and forgotten in the sands of time. Think about it. It’s our choice, our chance.

TRUMP’S DEMANDS REASONABLE
Will you guys stop it! With the amount of boo-hooing and fear-mongering from Sun columnists and reporters about Trump’s tariff threat, for the first time ever I am almost ashamed to admit I read the Sun. We all know there is only one way to stop the tariff threat: Do what Trump demands. Secure our border, which by the way includes reducing and properly vetting all immigration into Canada. There, problem solved, no tariffs and a safer Canada. See, Sun writers, the sky is not falling.
