R.I.P. PROGRESSIVISM
Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter’s death was symbolic of an ending of sorts for modern American progressivism. Carter — for all his faults — was a much more decent man than Clinton, much more intellectually sound than Biden, much deeper and more consistent in his principles and politics than Obama or Harris. Since his presidency, the Democratic Party has degenerated considerably, both in policy and social philosophy, and now there is no one of real character and ability to lead it. The obvious parallel here is the Liberal Party of Canada after the election of Justin Trudeau. It is now utterly bereft of leadership and talent; an institutional zombie waiting to be put out of its misery by the next election.

(No arguing that despite politics, Jimmy Carter was a true humanitarian)
PEACE ON EARTH
I just wanted to write how sorry I was to hear of the passing of former president Jimmy Carter. I have lived many years and seen many presidents come and go. Jimmy Carter was one of the good ones. He was quiet and calm and yet could have his orders carried out. The bringing of peace between Egypt and Israel, showing the two leaders shaking hands, was true Carter. He has earned his rest and is once again with Rosalyn. My sincere sympathy to his family.

REFLECT AND EJECT
So Trudeau is reflecting on his future. Shouldn’t our prime minister be worried about the future of Canada first. That says it all about Trudeau. Liberal MPs need to grow a backbone if they love Canada as they all claim, and figure out a way to turf this guy. Take note Jagmeet Singh because you are just as guilty as Trudeau and Canada is coming for you, too.
