SEEING THE LIGHT

While there is no shortage of folks taking considerable glee in dumping on the current Canadian federal government (and justifiably so), I wonder how many of these very same people voted for the Liberals in the first place. It is certainly difficult to come to any other conclusion than that we are in a heck of a mess given the misguided antics of the Trudeau Liberals. However, the electorate is the real culprit for getting us into this sad state of affairs. We can only hope that enough Canadians are finally seeing the light — or lack thereof!

(It would seem the electorate is itching to rectify the mistake of the Trudeau governments)

JAYS’ BAD CATCH

I look forward to reading Steve Simmons column every week. Love his hard-hitting, honest approach, especially his take on the Leafs and Jays. Usually we’re on the same page, and I couldn’t agree more that Ed Rogers is asleep at the switch allowing Shapiro and Atkins to continue steering the fortunes of the Jays. However, I question three words in his Jan. 19 column: “A backup catcher,” referring to Jays’ needs this year. It infers the team has a numero uno in Alejandro Kirk. Sorry, not in my lineup.

(Why do the Jays have such a difficult time signing talented new players? Something is amiss with head office)

COWARD OF THE COTTAGE

The resignation of Justin Trudeau clearly illustrates ‘cowardice in action.’ Instead of confronting the electorate, and allowing voters to pass judgment on his tenure, Trudeau is abandoning the sinking Liberal ship, and slinking off into the night. The faux PM is devoid of the courage and integrity required by a true leader — instead, Trudeau displays arrogance, condescension, a sense of entitlement and narcissism. Rather than facing the music, the Coward of the Cottage is running away. What a reprehensible disgrace. Canadians deserve better!

(Our national nightmare of Trudeau isn’t over yet. He has once again put himself ahead of the country and we are stuck with him for longer than we should be)
