CHIN UP BRAD
Re “LILLEY UNLEASHED: Accusations of racism at city councillor in Yonge-Dundas Sq. renaming debate” (June 28): Hey, Brad Bradford, lift your head and stand proud at the people calling you racist. You have a hit a nerve with the woke and that is their only and best response. They think they are entitled, smarter than anybody else, and in some odd way, the keepers of all that is good. Their strategy is old and only reinforces their moronic thoughts and actions. You want to know how to handle them? Ignore their rants and laugh in their face. They cannot take what they give!

(It is pathetic the only argument the extreme left on council has is to scream ‘racist.’ Bradford shouldn’t back down)
MONEY BETTER SPENT
How sad, the accusations of racism levelled at a city councillor who opposed renaming Yonge-Dundas Square. Are there not higher priorities to improve this square, such as helping residents there by providing better security and emergency provisions? Would part of the $965,000 be better spent, for example, on providing better accessibility? Changing a name will not, by itself, lead to improved relations between citizens in Toronto. Improving social services and providing more education and work opportunities will help those in greatest need.

(Whether you question this renaming or anything else in the city, there will always be a group who wants to name call instead of answering the questions)
BOOZY BLUES
The up-until-now strictly monopolistic LCBO will never be threatened into becoming an essential service. An arrogant union — with a taxed-to-death alcohol product — controlling when law-abiding adult consumers can and can’t drink is quite preposterous, don’t ya think?

CHANGE AT THE TOP
The St. Paul’s byelection loss put the Liberal Party in doubt with Trudeau fatigue, and now the debate performance of President Biden put the Democratic Party in doubt. What a contrast. For the Democratic Party, I prefer Pete Buttigieg to step in and for the Liberals, Marc Miller. In the U.S. it needs to be done sooner, here in Canada we have some time.
