LEAFS AND LIBERALS
The Maple Leafs and the Liberals are viewed the same by the Toronto crowd. No matter how many times the Leafs choke or the Liberals ruin the country, the seats at Scotiabank Arena will always be full and the Liberals will be voted in by Hogtown. So sad …

JERSEY JAB
Leafs fans who threw the Maple Leafs captain jersey on ice, shame on you. Yes, it is frustrating and disappointing, but to throw the captain’s jersey on the ice? Would Habs fans throw Rocket Richard jerseys on the ice back in the day? The Leafs and their captain are certainly not good enough to win the Stanley Cup, but Leafs fans do not deserve the Cup. The hockey gods will make sure of that now and in the near future. No Cup in Toronto because of the fan base. That is the bottom line.

BUDS ARE LOSERS
The Leafs players (the top three) don’t care one bit about winning – Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner (I might cut Nylander some slack)! All they care about is grabbing their paycheques during the season and not getting hurt in the playoffs! I implore the fans to stop supporting this pathetic team! It must stop!

COMPETENCE NEEDED
Price, quality, service, pick any two. In business, that is how we framed product purchases. In government cabinets it is region, gender, competence – but in my view, it should be competence only and let the rest fall where it may. If we truly seek meaningful results, that should be the sole criteria. Positive results. That would be the change we apparently voted for.
