WITH THE LEAFS, WE HAVE SEEN IT ALL

Been a Leafs fan since 1962 so I have seen a lot of games. My humble opinion is that the Leafs don’t lack the skill to win. They lack the motivation. I see it every time. When the opposing team scores a goal or almost scores, the Leafs fall into a worried, defensive hockey. They need to get out there and fight for the goals, take it back to the other team. Not wave sticks around like cats’ tails and pass the puck waiting for the golden opportunity.

(They don’t have the motivation and it’s pathetic)

START FROM SCRATCH

Boom. The sound of the Leafs being blown apart yet again. This organization needs a complete reset starting with management. You’ve had good coaches and players over the years, you’ve also picked the pockets of fans — why they stay so loyal to this club is unbelievable. They play some decent games during the season getting to the playoffs, only to bomb out time after time. Do your fans a favour and get rid of these high-priced players, get rid of Shanahan and the front office, and start over. They don’t deserve the money they get paid and if you want to see good hockey, the NHL needs to put a team in Hamilton. They need a big shakeup, or check out Toronto’s women’s team.

NO SIP FROM THE CUP

Our Maple Leafs haven’t sipped from Lord Stanley’s Cup for 57 years and now the odometer has just turned another click. As my late mother always said, “That which cannot be cured must be endured.”

(It’s a pretty low bar)

FORE!

Golf courses are open and the Leafs are out of the playoffs. Is there a connection?

(No connection since it’s the same story every year)
