ELDERLY CARE

I recently wrote an English assignment on the subject of the First and Second World Wars, focusing on the role of Canadian soldiers in the defence and protection of our country and freedoms. We owe so much to brave men and women – veterans who gave their time, resources and often their lives so that we could live like we do today. These veterans now make up a part of the elderly members of our population, and it is important that we show our gratitude to them for their service. Elder care in our country is an important issue to many Canadians, and yet we often do not care for these valuable members of our society as we ought. We should have a health-care system that doesn’t decide who’s worth helping. We need to care for our elderly and veterans in a loving and respectful way, and show kindness to these important people. As a province, we need to promote welcoming long-term care workers to our cities and rural areas. We also need to ensure that these care workers do not have to experience hesitation because they fear they will be forced to participate in medical procedures that go against their conscience. Canada needs to be a country that provides life-affirming care and suicide prevention for all its citizens, including our elderly. Our nation needs to support our elderly citizens, showing love and respect to those who have given us so much.

(As a society it should be a top priority to ensure our elderly are taken care of in a meaningful way)

SINGH DID NOT COMPLETELY FAIL

Jagmeet Singh did not completely fail as the NDP leader. Over the past few years, he was very successful in teaching many loyal NDPers how to be good Liberal supporters. And now, the rest of the country will pay for his success with another Liberal tax-and-spend government.

(All along it was a not so hostile takeover by the Liberals of the NDP which Singh allowed to happen because he needed to hang on to secure his pension. Now the NDP is broke and has lost official party status)
