A BETTER ALTERNATIVE
Wouldn’t it be nice if Bonnie Crombie would make her platform about how she would improve Ontario (over what Doug Ford has already accomplished) and not about taking Doug Ford down. I had a throat lozenge in mouth, while driving and when that statement — “that her focus is on taking Doug Ford Down” — was aired, I was in such shock the lozenge went down my throat. Fortunately, most of it was already gone, otherwise I would have choked to death. Most voters in this province deserve better than continued badmouthing without actually relaying to the public the record of the incumbent. Perhaps someone should start listing just what has been accomplished in this province in the last six years or so (all of it in simple terms, in one article), what might have been done better, and what the focus is on in the future. Further, perhaps someone should tell Crombie that ranting and raving got Andrea Horwath nowhere over 11 years or so. Voters are not that ignorant.

WHAT A GAME
Once again, this year’s Grey Cup game proved to be, as Steve Simmons’ Nov. 20 headline read, a “stunner”! Congratulations to the city of Hamilton for a fantastic Grey Cup Week, culminating in another classic football game. So thankful our prime minister was absent from the game, as he would have done what he does best — embarrass himself and all Canadians with his egotistical antics. The annual Grey Cup Week represents the best of Canada, bringing together people across our great and proud nation!

WHAT DO THEY KNOW
Hamas knew full well what the Israelis would do after the horror of Oct. 7. They just don’t care what happens to the people of Gaza. Where were the protests when Assad killed thousands of his own people? Does anyone care about the ongoing war in Yemen? Do Arab deaths not matter unless Israelis are involved? Are those protesting even aware of what Hamas stands for, or are they simply blinded by anti-Semitism? There should be no ceasefire until the hostages are released.
