PRIMETIME HOCKEY

Watched the first Monday night Prime hockey broadcast. Really enjoyed the change and the format, Prime showed more of the event, including the warm-up. Mark Messier was a breath of fresh air, the other two will find their way. It was such a nice change from Sportsnet, I find the commentators at Sportsnet make the game about them. Since they fired Don Cherry, I don’t know anyone who actually pays attention between periods, it’s just background noise. Ron MacLean is in the same environment as Trudeau — he just needs to go away and let some fresh people take over. I do remember when Coach’s Corner was on, everyone watched and loved Don. Let’s hope Prime can get more games in the future, Sportsnet needs to take a back seat now that Prime has stepped in.

LEGACY OF FAILURE

With so much talk about Trudeau’s possible resignation, the real question is why do any Canadians still support this condescending, egomaniacal, feckless man? His tenure as prime minister has been defined as nine years of divisive rhetoric, reckless spending of our tax dollars and numerous embarrassing episodes on the world stage. His legacy will be remembered as one of failure and disappointment. If he truly loves Canada, as he professes, he would resign now, and take Singh with him!

DON’T QUIT JT

I do not want Justin Trudeau to quit. I would like to see all these Liberal dissidents vote against him on a confidence motion and force an election. I live to see Justin utterly humiliated at the polls. His birth certificate was his qualification, and it has killed this country.  Vote him out, backbenchers.

NAILED IT

Without doubt, your excellent editorial “Dear Liberals: In the name of God, go!” (Oct. 18) is one to be framed and hung on the wall in full view. But if alive today, would one believe that Cromwell’s rhetoric could be applied provincially as well as federally?
